Meet Puppet Church's Main Characters
You may remember him from such commercials as Rocket Your Way to Whiter Teeth, the classic middle school home economics tour de force, Here Comes the Metric System!, and as the nimble stunt man for Space Cowboy in the hit movie Gangster of Love.
When the series opens, he auditions and fails for Planet Origin’s new line of propaganda news bulletins for the newly arrived high brow settlers who run the gleaming new metropolis of Supreme Citadel. Snubbed and turned away, Buddy Vegas returns in disgrace to his parents who never believed in him. Just another poor and dusty has-been, he reckons as he leaps on to his only possession, a restored motorcycle from parts traded in the dark dangerous alleys of his desolate desert home, Remainder Town.
Laying under the stars in the middle of nowhere, he encounters the Story Lord who reaches down to him with a steely grin and good-natured hand, “Come with me if you want to live!”
Or DJ Deacon as he's known by friends he left behind on home planet. As the series opens, he joins his parents and other high-born settlers arriving on Planet Origin. As the son of Karl Kantor, the Story Lord is next in line to lead Supreme Citadel. And he’s not thrilled about it.
Arrogant, entitled, and barely tolerating his parents’ overbearing expectations, he nevertheless leaves his friends and promising musical career behind to please them. A charming people-pleaser, he soon learns the hard way the best approach is the one he creates himself.
Within a day of landing on Planet Origin, his father vanishes and labeled a traitor to the Galaxy and his mother mysteriously dies of poisoning. With the help of his duplicitous uncle and leader of Supreme Galactic Court, Abbot Babbot, the Story Lord embarks on a dangerous quest to save his family’s honor and the galaxy’s future. Afraid and unsure and grieving the loss of his parents, he quickly discovers that Chester Von Vorg who was his trusted advisor is now in cahoots with 7 to steal and destroy all Galactic origin stories. He knows that as the Story Lord he is supreme protector of the Holy Texts and must now stop Vorg and 7 to save the Galaxy. But how?

In later episodes, this schemer and magical manipulator redeems herself by appearing often to her son as if like Obi One to Luke, dispensing vital insight from beyond death's veil.
However. As the series opens, it quickly becomes clear that this Seer and supposed trusted advisor to her husband used her powers most treacherously, setting in motion the dangerous threats rapidly taking over the Galaxy.
Modeled after Lord Varys on Game of Thrones, he is the master whisperer who leaves one, especially the Story Lord, wondering: whose side is he on? He and Chester Von Vorg along with Karl Kantor are the founders of Supreme Citadel, whose purpose is to maintain peace and prosperity throughout the Galaxy by protecting and preserving each planet’s origin story within the Galaxy’s Holy Texts. As rumors of a growing rebellion within Remainder Town grow, Abbot Babbot installs a new Supreme Galactic Court on an ominous planet-sized spaceship appropriately named The Cerberus. When Vorg brings charges against the Story Lord and demands his immediate arrest, Abbot Babbot secretly obtains a scarab beetle spaceship and demands his nephew flee the planet. Before The Story Lord agrees to this, they have a heated showdown in the Citadel's spaceship hangar. Abbot Babbot refuses to disclose the condition and whereabouts of The Story Lord's father Karl Kantor. Their relationship strained as the Story Lord angrily speeds off into space, it’s never known if Babbot is on the side of the Rebellion or the Galactic Empire.
As the series opens, he is Director of Supreme Citadel and in dire health near collapse and certain death. His former love interest Sentini seeing his rapid decline, breaks things off with him and pledges herself once more to her husband, Karl Kantor.
Spurned is too light a word to describe poor Chester’s state of mind! Sentini had recently survived a severe illness due only to Chester secretly acquiring a powerful drug produced illegally by the laboratories of evil scientist “7”. Feeling used and exploited by Sentini, he vows revenge. Again, he secretly seeks assistance from 7 in return for turning a blind eye to 7’s diabolical master plan.
Vorg
Propped up by Arch Villain 7, he welcomes your planetary surrender to the might of corporate uniformity of mind through uniformity of products. His seeming immortality now assured as a black and purple blob under a completely mobile bell jar, Chester Von Vorg is now just Vorg. Don’t let the new shape of things to come fool you, though. If one displeases Vorg, the blob quickly shifts into Batman lighting bolt. There’s a comic shape for every mood and occaision as Vorg begins existence as 7’s main henchman. As he pursues The Story Lord and his crew and fails at first to capture them, he must face the wrath of 7.
“Try again with this new plan you cooked up. And this time don’t fail me!"
A dark mist is injected into the Vorg bell jar. The purple turns to rain and Vorg cries out in pain.
“Yes, my liege!,” Vorg screams.
Not much is at first known about him. Within a day of landing on Planet Origin he vanishes under smoke and burning rubble after the Rebellion attacks Supreme Citadel. Hints and clues begin to drift across the Galaxy of his possible whereabouts and plans. As Ruler of Supreme Citadel, his absence opens a dangerous vacuum of power quickly taken advantage of by bandits and feuding factions. His son The Story Lord frantically searches the Galaxy for him while at the same time trying to stop Vorg and 7.
Its physcial presence is never seen. "Out of sight out of mind" is likely the only quip this mastermind nemesis knows. 7 installs Vorg Industries to carry out toxic and dangerous laboratories. 7's master plan of Galactic domination relies on an invention it creates to anillihate the origin stories of each planet of the Galaxy. Without these stories, 7 reasons, it can ultimately and completely seize the means of production of each planet and ultimately the entire Galaxy. As the series opens, Vorg Industries is hosting a grand celebration of the opening of its first factory on Planet Origin. An hour beforehand, we witness the gassing of spectators by tanks painted with a yellow 7 on a black flag. When they regain consciousness, their origin story memories erased, they hear loudly blaring from intercoms, “All hail the prime direction!”
“I say, we seem to have found ourselves amongst idiots, master Story Lord. Shall we blast them?”
Very likely made in the same factory as Marvin the Paranoid Android, Jeeves is the Ship's Computer on the Scarab Beetle. It's an affable, if not darkly humored chap. Its mobility limited to dainty plastic wheels on spindly legs, it can sometimes “walk” when it can’t roll. And this makes Jeeves very upset to have to rely on this silly method of getting around.
